The Firm is looking for a highly qualified candidate for the Firm's intellectual property practice. The qualified individual will have:

  • a BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited institution
  • a law degree, J.D., or LLB, from an accredited law school
  • be eligible for or have passed the Washington or Oregon bar exams,
  • be eligible for or have passed the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office patent registration examination.

The job entails significant legal and technical writing in support of the Firms' patent prosecution and litigation practices. The individual will be detail oriented but enjoy a relaxed working environment in beautiful historic downtown Vancouver, Washington. The Firm has a billable hour requirement of 1000 hours with some opportunity for telecommuting. PARALEGALS AND OFFICE STAFF

Part time receptionist/office assistant for small law firm

Position is part-time Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 12:00-5:00 p.m.
Tasks include:

  • Telephone management of multiple lines.  We need someone with a polite, professional, and articulate voice to greet callers and take detailed and accurate messages. 
  • Management of mail and deliveries.  Includes date stamping and routing all incoming office mail and packages.
  • Greeting new and existing clients.  Request they fill out new client interview forms, offer coffee, water, etc.
  • Conference room and lobby neatness.  Make sure the lobby and conference rooms are prepared for new client interviews and booked conference room dates.
  • Location and return of legal files to filing room
  • Assistance with monthly statements folding, stuffing, labeling, stamping
  • Help maintain log of cost reimbursement using Word
  • Copying documents and scanning to electronic file using high-speed copier
  • Mail and in-town deliveries.  Drop off mail, purchase stamps, inner-city deliveries to judges and law offices, pick up lunch for the boss, etc.
  • Make coffee when empty, clean coffee nook and cups daily.

We are a very busy small law firm in Downtown Vancouver seeking a part time person to join our team. 

Must have a valid driver’s license and agree to a criminal background check. 
Pay DOE - hours worked only (no holidays or vacation hours)
